HATCHBACK 7 is HATCH's 2013 juried art exhibit and sale. it will be shown at our art center, 3456 Evaline Street in Hamtramck, with an opening night reception on April 28 and special weekend events throughout the month of May.

Show Dates: Fri., April 26 - Sat., May 25, 2013.

Location:Hatch Gallery, 3456 Evaline St., Hamtramck, MI 48212

Entry Deadline: All entries must be received by HATCH by Monday April 1, 2013. This is NOT a postmark date.

Entry Procedure: Download the entry form and include a filled out form with your images. All media accepted. entries will be judged from digital images. images should be about 800x600 pixels at 72dpi. Include your name in the digital file name. Deliver your digital images by email to schneider@hatchart.org. include HATCHBACK 7 in the subject field. if you prefer, you can burn your images to a CD and mail the disc to HATCH, 3456 Evaline, Hamtramck, MI 48212.

Entry Fee: entry fees can be paid online via PayPal. You may also pay by check, made out to HATCH, with HATCHBACK 7 in the memo line. mail to the address above.

HATCH members: $10.00 for TWO (2) entries, $5.00 each additional entry (no limit).

Non-HATCH members: $20.00 for TWO (2) entries, $5.00 each additional entry (no limit).
You can become a HATCH member at the time of entry for $30.00. ($40 for two entries and

entry fees are non-refundable. All artwork must be for sale. HATCH will take a 30% commission from artwork sold during the exhibition.

Notification: You will be notified of the juror’s decisions by email by Saturday, April 13. if you’d like to be notified by mail, send an SASE.

Juror: Sarah Turner is the Associate Director at the Cranbrook Academy of Art. She holds a BA in Sociology from Smith College, a certificate in jewelry and furniture at the Oregon College of Art & Craft in Portland, and has an MFA in Metalsmithing from Cranbrook. Before coming to the Academy, Sarah taught in the art departments of SUNY New Paltz and the Rhode Island School of Design. Sarah was a Fulbright Fellow in 2004 and now serves on the board of the Michigan Fulbright Association.
